Happy New Year Photoshoot
Took my new Sony A7R mirrorless camera out for some 2018 glamour shots on New Year's day/eve. Thanks Santa!

New to the forum and I have only owned the car since beginning of december and only drove it for a week before putting it in for winter rest
It is a SL500 from 2003 with 100 000km
First thing I did thanks to instructions on the forum was to buy a pair of used tail lights and change them to the newer model.

I haven’t posted a picture of my SL55 ( my all time favorite car ) I quite sometime. I don’t drive it much but every time I do I’m reminded why it is my favorite.
Being that it is a 2005 now almost 14 years old and still looks modern is a testament to it’s great design.

New (to us) SL550 Silver Arrow
We've had a few MB's over the years, most recently a CLK350 we sold last year, and the Mrs and I were wanting a fun car for us to enjoy together.
I was leaning towards a Jag F-Type, but I only like them in a coupe, and my wife wanted the drop top (the jags don't look good in a 'vert with the top up).
She kept looking at SL's online, and when we had test drove a couple of them locally, the hunt was on.
While doing my research, I discovered a special edition for 2009 was built, the Silver Arrow. There was one in LA, (we're in NorCal) and while the pix looked amazing, and only had 50k~ on the odo. However, upon pulling a carfax, it already had 4 previous owners, and was in an accident....no thank you.
But seeing those amazing pix, we knew that it was THE car for us.
I kept checking online pretty much every day, and then, bam, there it was...
One owner,
All records and all service done at MB dealer
and this....only 14,400 miles! (the owner actually serviced the vehicle yearly, and not by mileage)
It also had the fitted luggage (which had NEVER been removed from the car, MB car cover, and trickle charger, along with EVERY piece of paper)
The SL was all the way across the country in Florida, but after having a couple of convo's with the seller, and talking with the servicing dealer, we made a deal.
It arrived on Friday via enclosed transport, and we could not be any more thrilled. The Mrs, absolutely LOVES it!
Looking forward to many motoring memories with this unique machine.

Mural Alley
Took a wrong turn at a rough part of town this weekend. Ended up in the alley 3 blocks long full of beautiful murals! It seems most of them have not been molested by gangs so I snapped away. Enjoy.

The SL was designed to live in San Diego!
