Looking for advice on where to sell '08 SL550 online
Hello fellow MBWers. I have a low-mileage 2008 SL-550 I'm looking to sell in the Atlanta area. Rather than go the usual eBay Craigslist route I thought there might be a better place to find qualified and interested buyers. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Spread a wide net
This car needs a large market to capture the right buyer.
Autotrader, or eBay (if you are brave), would be my choices.

I'm in Atlanta and I've sold every car I've ever sold privately on Autotrader. I don't know about the reviews but I can tell you it works. Take great pictures and you should be good.

Unfortunately I've had no luck on either Auto Trader or eBay yet. Lots of pictures, detailed description. I'm not even getting any inquiries. Only three in a couple of months, none serious.

Thanks for the advice. I thought I was pretty close on price given the mileage and condition, or at least thought someone would make me an offer.
I wasn't sure what the rules where about posting ads here. Here's the current eBay ad. I also have lots of other pictures if anyone is interested.

I have to agree with BlownV8's comment. Always lots of factors. I remember when I advertised my 04 SL...I did AutoTrader (did the plan where if it doesn't sell you get your money back). I received several calls/emails. I believe part of the issue becomes how much money are you willing to pay an individual for a car that is complex and has a reputation for being no so reliable (whether that is deserved or not)? My car seemingly was in very good condition but still had 79k miles. People wanted deals. When I started looking at later model SL550's to buy, there were some trying to price their cars in the neighborhood of some of the CPO cars. There is some dollar amount where I am just not willing to fork over to an individual due to risks of the transaction, effort (do I have to travel), does something break as soon as I drive away, was I had, etc. Yes, can get inspected, but more effort to coordinate. So much fraud, or potential fraud these days and then meeting someone to look at a car? At least that's where I am on things. I wound up selling my car to someone on CL. He was a couple of hours away. I was straight up about my concerns for safety, fraud, etc.
