Hello! Finally a proud owner of an SL 600

After years of hunting and searching, I think I've finally found the V12 for me, and bought it.

Picked up an '04 SL 600 with only 18K miles. Formerly a CPO car. Pano roof, Distronic, nav, keyless go, black on black. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the wood trim, but I'm thinking you fine lads here can help me find something different. I'm hoping to change it to Designo trim, but I fear that might be a needle in a haystack. In any case, it's awesome and already am building a list of mods, heh.

Engine bay, interior, everything looks extremely clean. Pretty stoked. Expect to hear me asking questions about making her even better than she already is, heh.

Any initial suggestions? Yes, I got her with a warranty. I'm not crazy, heh.

in the round headlight era, I thing the wood gives the mercedes that classic elegance.

My CLK63 cab was black on black w/ the woodgrain, I really liked it.

That said, in the current SL, I don't think the traditional wood grain fits as well. Although the BLACK BURL would still look fantastic.

Hi, I just got a black glossy SL and it has wood grain on the doors and console. How do you go about changing it to piano black ? I looked into vinyl wrapping the parts - is that a good idea ? Otherwise, where do you purchase the actual parts that aren't too expensive, any aftermarket shops ? Having trouble finding the actual parts online, that's why i looked into vinyl wrapping

Congratulations! Reminds me of my '05 SL600 that I drove for 10 years and 85,000 miles. It was a great car in every way. How in the world did you find it with such low mileage. What's the back story?
