AMG Kit
I'm really regretting not getting the AMG package when I bought my SL500 last month. Now, I'm thinking of ordering the AMG sideskirt, front and rear bumpers.
Am I being impractical? How much would this run me painted and installed?

I would get the Brabus kit if I were in your situation. You don't see alot of Brabus kits on the road. I ordered my SL with the sport package and really the only noticiable difference is the front. You really never see the back bumper. I got rid of the wheels so I wish I would have saved the money and used it to get a Brabus kit.

If you get the chance, I would go with the brabus body kit also. It is a nice package with some cool features including the dual fog lamps in the front, and lighted security sideskirts. Looks very clean.
My car came with the sports package also so I am stuck here for a while.
