Had an issue with one of my shock struts, small leak. The dealer quoted $2300 installed for one unit which they had to order from German. Talked to my local independent shop that works on Mercedes; he order two (said you don't just want to do one do both) They were overhaul exchange installed units from Arnott Industries.total was $2050 installed including with purging and installing new hydraulic fluid and filter. Then a week later they told me to come back to change the filter one more time to make sure it was clean with no contaminates, which they at no extra charge.

Sounds about right on prices was it leaking externally? Or just dropping to ground?
