Anyone here have experience with Duraflex bumpers?
I purchased an SL600 with the non AMG stuff and I'd like to update the look with something a little more aggressive. I have no luck locally and to get genuine bumpers is around 2K a piece without paint. That's just insane, there are used bumpers but 99% are broken, smashed, or dented, and yet they're still asking $6-700.
So maybe I'll take a look at the Duraflex bumpers, how do they fit. I know it won't be like OEM, but i can do modifications if it's not too terrible. Price doesn't seem too bad. I'll be wrapping the car in a pearl white color after i get new bumpers and fix some scratches on the body.

Thanks

I've installed the Duraflex sl65 bumper you're interested in, I provided a good deal of info here:

i have since put a brand new genuine sl65/sl55 "f1" bumper cover on. It is the way to go, but pricey. The durfalex was great for the money and my situation at the time.

Do you still have the Duraflex? Might take it off your hands since you're kinda local. I might be able to sand and trim it to make it fit.

I have several pictures of my car with the duraflex bumpers in that thread.
for comparison, here is my car as it sits with the new, genuine f1 amg bumper, new OE mesh grilles (I made the other ones myself) and a gloss carbon lip instead of matte. you'll have to excuse my nephew showing me up in his SLS

Ah, yeah i see the gaps and stuff in the duraflex from your thread. I just submitted an offer on ebay for a genuine SL55 AMG bumper. It's got some scratches and missing fog lights and grills but i can manage. SL65 bumpers are not available, only the duraflex ones.

Yeah, far from perfect. But from 5 feet back it looked pretty damn good to me, especially considering the cost.
I do have my original sl55 bumper if you're interested in that. with the fogs and screen surrounds as well (but not the mesh)
It has a crack in the bottom section that would need to be repaired which started this bumper swap musical chair nonsense for me to begin with
