very disappointing must be a cheap cable

1967 250SE, 2020 GLB250, 2006 SL500, 2023 EQB300
Usually it's the handle cast that breaks and not the cable. These cables are so strong you hang the car from it.
It's a known weak part and very easy to DIY.
