Interior Lights don't turn off

Something is draining my battery on my 2005 SL55 - battery is brand new. The car's lights keep flashing when parked and locked. Today the battery message (Consumer offline) came on and the interior light wouldn't turn off, regardless of what I would try to do. Even when turning off the engine, and locking the car they staid on - which obviously drains the battery. Any deja vu or suggestions?

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Hat happens when you press the red panic button on the key fob? Does the alarm siren sound? If not, then you may have a dead ATA siren. That would cause the lights to flash after locking the car (basically, the alarm is going off, just with no sound). If this seems to be the problem, you can unplug the siren and see if that fixes the battery drain. The ATA siren is located on the left side of the car, under the fender shroud, behind the front wheel. You can also pull fuse #25, on the left front SAM panel.

You are right - the alarm doesn't sound. Removed the fuse. Will let you know if that fixed the drainage problem.
