Radio Antenna amplifier location?

Hi Everyone,

I've installed the Seicane unit in my 04 SL 500.. while not everything is perfect.. I'm actually pretty happy with the functionality.

I'm getting pretty horrible radio reception, and I'm thinking that I don't have the antenna amplifier working correctly. Everything seems wired right (wire from radio to power the amplifier is hooked up) and I got the right adapter to go from the antenna wire behind the dash to the radio. I'd like to find the antenna amplifier that combines the multiple antennas but I can't seem to find it. Behind the driver seat where the amp was is a harness that isn't hooked up to anything, which I'm wondering where it's supposed to go. Its a 25pin D-Sub connector.

Anyone have any idea where the amplifier is located? Even better, anyone solve this problem?
Thanks,
Tom

The FM antenna amp is at the base of the A-pillar on the left side.

The A-pillar is at the front windshield.

Talked about this, a week or so ago, about the same problem.
Seicane, bad radio reception.
Seems to be a real Seicane problem.

This the antenna harness supplied by Seicane. It has a Fakra connector for connecting the antenna. Cannot find where to plug it in

The antenna amp is right at the dash, under the inside trim on the A pillar. The antenna itself is embedded int he windshield.

I am guessing that is the intention of the Seicane, but I've never installed one.
