Brake system and extended warranty
After replacing the valve cover gasket I took my car for a test ride. On start the dreaded. BRAKE VISIT WORKSHOP appeared on the display. Took the car in and SDS codes are covered by the warranty extension. Issue is with the pump and the pressure reservoir. The dealer had the pump but the pressure reservoir is on back order from Germany. According to the tech that means it could be a week or could be months! I asked about a loaner. "Yes sir, give us a bit to confirm that it is covered as well." Fifteen minutes later I was driving away in an E300 with less than 2500 miles on it!
Gotta love the Mercedes way of business.

I just got my refund for $2,300.75 from MBZ. SBC failed two months ago @93K miles. Scary, going done a hill at 60 MPH when the warning came on and reduced brake stopping power drastically. Engine braking was automatic but I barely stopped at the bottom of hill with a red light! Yikes! My car was a year past the first 10 year warranty so dealer did give me a slight discount. So nice they ended paying me back for the whole bill! Thanks MBZ!
