Trunk mysteries

Couple questions regarding trunk parts.

1. According to the parts list there are supposed to be a couple of trunk lid bumpers (item 3 in the diagram).

However, there are none on my car. The only potential location would be the hole covered by plastic rivet in the photo below.

Is there a bumper on your car?

2. While I was working in the trunk, a mystery part fell off from somewhere in the front of the trunk (under the partition). It is triangular shaped black plastic cover with P/N 9 918 0 01312 00 stamped on it. There is a dove tale groves on the wide side. See attached pics. Any idea what it is and where does it belong? A see nothing amiss.

Thanks!

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I thin you're looking in the wrong place. Those bumpers are on the tubular frame, not the lid.

Checked on the frame. No dice. There are two bumpers on each side, but they are of different design. The ones I am trying to figure out are the same as bumpers on the trunk handle (Item 4 in the diagram). Both are p/n 201 987 04 20.

related to MB part # 9 918 0 02601 00 / 2005 SL500

I found the same triangular part in my trunk about a month ago. Same part # and I too cannot find where it belongs. It's probably completely unrelated, but now my roof won't lock into place/ windows return to full up position and the dash continually shows "in operation". No hydraulic leaks anywhere and the reservoir shows its slightly low, but not out of range. I am on my way to the dealership to check the roof (minimum diag fee is $260 cdn) ouch!

Looking in EPC - I believe the rubber bumper is part number A 201 987 04 40

2005 R 230 SL350 (M112 3.7). Sold the 1966 W113 230SL recently
I have never seen the triangulair part but its shape reminds me of a cover for the filler neck, in another car.

That triangular piece is part of the trunk divider. It goes on the underside of the front edge of the rigid section where it transitions to flexible cloth, one on each side, They help keep the cloth from being too loose/baggy.
