So today I went to apply a tint film to the middle part of the rear lights, as I like the darker mid-section look and do not want to spend £500+.
At first glance the rear lights I have are the ones that are all red, however when I looked closely I noticed that the mid section actually had a film applied to make it red. Has anyone else looked closely and noticed this?

There seems to be three variants as shown below (Tinted, clear mid section and all red)

PS the result was very good by the way in tinting the lights and did not give that reddy/black finish but a nice tinted gloss just like the ones in the images. (however I removed it as I got some air bubbles trapped and will have another go later on, I did tint the 3rd brake light though as it was nice and easy)
