Comand unit has no sound !
Hi Guys
I have a 2004, right hand drive SL350 with the fibre optic Comand unit, (the type with the DVD player).
Can anyone advise where the fuse is for it? Today the unit powered on but with no sound, everything functioned okay such as the satnav and CD just no sound. I have read that it can be the fuse and to reset it.
Fortunately after leaving it for a 15mins and then starting it, the sound came back. I still would like to know though is the fuse behind the drivers seat (right hand drive) or is it the other side where the CD changer is?
Thanks in advance.

2005 R 230 SL350 (M112 3.7). Sold the 1966 W113 230SL recently
At benzbits you can download an Excell with from-2003 fuse layout. Excell of course offers good searching options. In this case for instance you’ll find fuses and their location for cd changer, navigation, radio, sound system and telephone.

Here:

But, if the sounds came back, it's not a fuse. Most likely, the COMAND unit or another deice on the fiber ring is on its way out.

Thanks all for our help, I have the same issue with my Range Rover, I need to disconnect the fibre optic and plug in to bring the unit back to life, ironically its the same age of car.
PS. on the location for Radio fuses it mentions rear right, is the same for RHD and LHR cars?

Facing forward my CD changer is to my rear left (behind passenger seat for me) the fuses are therefore on the right behind the drivers seat.
