I use a battery tender but have an issue

The consumer battery is a year old and I keep it on a tender when I am not driving the car. It does sit for as much as a couple of weeks some times. The last two time I drove the car I got the offline message at startup. With in 5 miles it is no longer on the screen. Checked it today after not driving for a week and the battery had 12.4 volts. Started the car and the offline message came on. Anyone got any ideas as to what to check?

Thanks.

What kind of tender are you using?

Fully charged battery should be 12.7 volts

If your tender is not keeping battery to 12.7 volts, you might need a new battery

This suggests a faulty vehicle power supply module or a battery terminal connection which is unusually poor. Use Star Diagnosis or other tool to communicate with the vehicle power supply controller and read the actual value of Circuit 30. The "offline" message should only come on if the voltage is below 10.8 volts DC.
