Confused about spark plugs - How many?

I have read most of the spark plug threads on the forum, but I am still not sure how many spark plugs my 2004 SL500 has. 8 or 16? Searched all the factory manuals and could not really identify the number of my motor. Also there is no youtube video of the spark plug change for an R230. Any advice appreciated.

The same as any M113k motor.

Just make sure you get the correct ones.

Plugs from FCP Euro arrived yesterday, installed today. Old plugs were Bosch and looked like original (106K). Process of changing a bit challenging but very DIY. Hope to take the car out for a test drive today.
