Water intrusion

Has anyone had experience with water intrusion into the trunk from the antenna? Dealer is claiming this is why the TPMS control unit is out. Antenna is there but moves a bit according to them.

I guess it could happen. If the antenna is loose, it just needs to be tightened. I think there is also a thin seal on it where it sits against the fender.

I used the RTV to make sure that there is no leak.

I got water in my trunk when the trunk mounted (3rd) brake light lens cracked. Apparently, the 15 year old lense didn’t like cold weather this winter. Replaced it with a Dorman aftermarket light (apparently better than a genuine light) and no more water. By the way, the seal on the Dorman lense seems much better than the factory seal on the broken light.
