New member hello!
Hey all. I said hi in the new member forum but wanted to intro myself here as well. Just picked up my first MB droptop, a 2005 SL600. Black/Charcoal, 21k miles, AMG sport pkg, KeylessGo, Pano Sunroof. Car was IMMACULATELY kept, every piece of wood looked brand new, only issues were trunk supports (which I replaced in 5 min for $40), the black plastic panels to the left and right of rear window (ordered the pieces for about $150, gonna have the dealer do that when I have the state inspection done) and only one key ($500 at the dealer, YIKES!). PICS below!
Background on me. Live in RI, USA. This is actually the 39th car I've bought in the last 20 years. I'm normally a Porsche guy but my fiancé told me if I wanted to buy a car before our wedding next year it had to be under a certain amount of money, a convertible that she signed off on and that could fit two sets of golf clubs in it. I joked about if I had to fit her in at the same time as the clubs, and when I woke up from the short coma I was in after the beating we settled on this. I know I could've gone with the V8 version but come on, why wouldn't I do the V12?!?!

I’ve used two independent garages, both are very local to me in Norwood, MA:
Revolution is very good, provides loaners (C class sedans}, great communication.
Larin is a bit bigger, also sells cars and provides performance services. The mechanics work late hours on their track cars, which I dig.
Both shops charge approx $575 for an ABC flush and filter change.
I did did just get the name and number of a mechanic in RI from a friend. Let try to find where I put that and I’ll add it here.
- Revolution Automotive, https://www.revolutionautomotiveservices.com/
- Larin Automotive, http://www.larinautomotive.com/

I think you are going to love it. It is identical to my 05 sl600 less about 70,000 miles. I really enjoyed owning that car (except for the depreciation which you have already beat). Enjoy!
