SL55 10 Surprising Features

Hi guys,

Here's a video on ten SL55 features that have surprised me so far:

Take care,

Daniel

2005 R 230 SL350 (M112 3.7). Sold the 1966 W113 230SL recently
You didn’t mention the sun sensor in the hood. And the mysterious logic(s) behind opening/closing the windows with the top up or down. That would make it the daunting dozen.

I think it's worth knowing that there are c. 85-90 fuses and they are in no fewer than 6 locations. Apart from the two fuse boxes under the hood and the one behind the right-side seat, there are three fuse blocks which are detailed in an M-B training document available for download here: https://www.benzworld.org/forums/r23...formation.html.

My favourite feature of the SL55 is the postal code manipulator mode. When you fully depress the right side pedal for a period of 60 seconds, the final digit of the postal code you're in will change. Never ceases to amaze.

I always thought W meant wet mode. Either way, same feature - starting out in a higher gear to prevent wheel slip.
