722.9 updated oil pan

Hello, I have heard that the new and updated oil pans are available for 722.9 transmissions. This pan has a larger oil capacity and provides a better fluid circulation. Does anyone know anything about it? I am planning for a transmission service and was thinking that it would be a good idea to replace the current one. Thank you

They are available in kits on FCP Euro, I installed one on my E63 and will be installing one on my SL63. The filter is larger and deeper as well.

Nope, it drives exactly the same. But the factory implemented it as an improvement on the 2012+ 722.9, and I see more volume and more filter area as always a plus for an automatic transmission. If you're doing the fluid and filter anyway it's not much extra to make the switch.

I’ve always just purchased the kits on FCP Euro and has good luck. If you look it up by your car it gives an itemized parts list below. It will be a different part number for the pan, filter, and the plastic stand pipe.
