I have worked my way up the Mercedes line up, starting years ago with an E320, then a 96 SL320, then a 01 S500 and finally an 05 SL600. Obviously with each progression the car has been more thrilling to drive. When I still occasionally drive the SL320, it is amazing what a dog it is, the S500 has impressive power considering the size of the vehicle, but the SL600 is an absolute thrill to drive.

The past weekend on a stretch of road outside of town that is flat, deserted and you can see for miles, I got on it and was left with a grin on my face. Everyone talks about the 0 to 60 which the car rockets you thru, but the 60 to 120 is equally impressive. It's nice to finally have a car and know whenever you need the power it's there to be unleashed.

After owning this car for about 1 month, I have no regrets at all, a great ride.

I know what you mean. It has an incredible drive. In my opinion way better and more powerful than the SL55.

When you mention putting some Renn Tech into it. What exactly do people have done with Renn Tech on these cars. I am trying to figure out what I maybe would do to my 2005 SL600 and what benefits I could expect to receive from the modifications. Thanks.
