2004 Mercedes Benz SL500
I NEED YOUR HELP: TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE
I have been told by my independent MB mechanic that my 2004 SL500 has the following error code: “200A”
The scan tool’s description is: (Component Y3/8n4(Fully Integrated Transmission control(VGS) Control Unit) Is Defective”.
The remedy is to replace the Transmission Control Module. My mechanic is very picky about aftermarket parts but cannot find a new OEM or reputable replacement part anywhere. I believe the part number is 032-545-35-32.
Any suggestions or advice will (again) be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

There are a few companies that repair them. If they cannot repair it, they can virginize and used one and code it so that it is pretty much plug and play. Normally they fail from bad speed sensors. That doesn't appear to be the case here, but they will probably replace them on any used board.

The TCM is readily available on ebay for under $150. They typically come from crashed cars.
As mentioned it does need to be programmed which will be the bigger challenge. You might try contacting "Mercedes Swapshop" for this.
