Strange noise 231
When I start my SL63 from cold, it sounds like the exhaust is going to fall
off, this last about 5 seconds then goes quiet.
Does any body have similar, first noticed it when picking it up from the dealer.

Programmed pre-heat of the cats maybe? Not so noticeable on my 550 but my M3 did the same for about twice that long.

I have tracked down the noise, it is the square tail pipes rattling which
sound like a dingaling noise, so back to Mercedes for fixing plus oil and filter
change, maybe gearbox and rear axle.
