The SL63 gets a great performance upgrade on the house while the SL550 stays pretty much as-is.

I have to admit that there something really cool about the High-Contrast package exterior. Looks very good in white-black combo. Painting the roof black gives it a more soft-top roadster look.
Besides the diamond stitching, the interior is a no-go for me...

Also thanks for posting this. I have just ordered a 2015 SL63 with the P42 package. Believe it or not, the dealer does not have any pricing on it yet. Does anyone have pricing?

Nope, I'm waiting for pricing to show up on my 2015 order too.

According to the AMG Private Lounge, the P42 package in Europe (ex. VAT/Sales tax) translates to about $10,800.
If you assume that pricing in Europe is generally 30% higher than in the US, the P42 package would come in around $8300.

PS: I have a EDP August 11th delivery date for my SL63 without the P42 option.

EDP = Euro Delivery ? My ED is Sept...I think the P42 slowed it down.

I ordered my SL65 without this P42 package, however I do like certain elements from the exterior. It seems like most of these are interchangeable parts. Being the first Mercedes I will own, is it likely I'll be able to order some of these P42 parts after I get my car and install them?


BTW my delivery will be in September.
