Also wondering if spacers affect tire wear? Seems like they would add camber to the rear tires, all be it slight.

Only MBs - the best or nothing
Above will work just fine.

As an alternative, you could use 3055665 front spacers (R231, unlike R230, do not have front dust caps so "9" is not required) and 40556654 rear spacers (these rear spacers include special bolts to attach them to car's rear hub, then you use your stock wheels' bolts to attach wheels to spacers).

thank you threeMBs. Your suggestion is very helpful to me as H&R does not list any spacers for the 2016 SL550. The last year they provide spacers for is 2015. Can you also confirm that the type and length of the front and rear lug bolts I listed are correct for 2016? Thanks again.

In the US, all 2013-2016 SL550s should be the same. The only caveat is since I've never seen front hub of R231 SL with ABC, I can not vouch that ALL are the same upfront. If your car does not have ABC, then you can use what you posted or the alternative that I provided. If it does have ABC, then you need to know if front has a dust cap - then must use spacers with a "9" upfront. The rear is identical regardless with ABC or not.

thank you for your reply threeMBs. Please forgive me for my ignorance, I do not know what ABC is. In addition, do the 45mm front and 50mm rear lug bolts seem right to you or too long? Thank you again.

Well then you do not have ABC. If you use spacers in your original post, then the bolts in the same post are the ones to be used.

thank you again threeMBs. I do not remember whether I mentioned that my car is equipped with OEM MB AMG 19" wheels. Are such wheels OK with the spacers and bolts are mentioned? Thanks.

Yes, applies to both 18" OEM and 19" OEM wheels.
