My 2017 SL came with some minor shoe scratches in the obvious place where one's feet arc across the sill plate near the front. What product and applicator works the best to buff out these scratches? I assume the plate is stainless steel but do not really know for sure. Thanks....

Any auto polish kit will do but first remove the scraches by wet sand
