Electronic issues-Gremilins

I have a 2013 SL550. We have only had it for about 3 weeks. Today while my wife was driving she had a lot inop lights come on for the traction control, active lane keeping assist, park assist, active blind spot inop and all of them intermittent. The cruise control and the Eco quit working while she was driving it. The red engine light also came on. When I restarted the car to check everything out seems that everything had reset. I am going to take the car in the MB dealer for service. We have a premium USAA 3rd party warranty, so hopefully everything should be covered.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with these systems? Main computer? Not sure what it could be. Any help is appreciated.

Cheers, Dale

Probably something small like a wheel speed sensor. If they stop sending signals, all of the systems that need to see the wheel speeds stop working.

Worth checking your USAA warranty as most 3rd party warranties they don't kick in until after you have driven 1,000 miles.

Battery?

It could be something as simple as a loose battery cable - I had this issue on our motorhome. If it was just one caution light I would say no, but with so many non related lights, it could be.

My wifes SL400 has done this intermittently from new(1 year old now)

We took it back to the dealer and was given some bollocks about it being interference from certain radio/mobile/radar frequencies etc etc as the car uses radar for the Clever lane changing/following systems

Wasnt very happy with the response but what do you do........... leave it with them forever..........??

Check for a very slightly loose negative battery cable. Check both ends of the cable.
