Finally Arrived after a 6 Month Wait
My 2018, SL 450 Finally arrived. For Waiting 6 months, I received the following: Ability to charge 7,000 dollars on a credit card, 3 years of Maintenance, Replacement of the R97 Wheels, which in my opinion had too much black paint in them, which made they look dirty even if clean - They gave me these wheels as part of the deal, to do as I please (selling them) They replaced them with the Mercedes Wheels as Pictured here - The photo of the wheel,
is what I will sell.

Great choice. Only I am mad that you beat me ! You got your car first. !!!
lucky you, you have the top down too !
i will have to wait for a heat wave , 2 nights ago it was 28 f.
am happy we both got our cars and btw, I asked what was the part that delayed shipping from
the Vehicle Processing Center, but no one would tell me
Drive carefully and enjoy !

I recall my Datsun 2000 with tonneau cover. Top down, heater going full chat, tonneau cover in place, toboggan on. Sweet music in the cool air. Lovely old roadster, not as sophisticated as what we drive today, but then the same could be said for present company: maybe on both cycles.

Here in Connecticut we get about 5 months of cold weather, so after 15 years of driving CLK's and E Class Cabriolets, I've found my lower limit. If the temperature is 40 degrees F, or higher, and not raining or snowing, my top is off the SL450. As was said by Utopia, turn on all that stuff and enjoy the drive. The E550 Cabriolet had a screen that rose from just above the windshield, which routed the air higher over the car, thereby eliminating most of the breezes in the cockpit. The SL, with the windows up and the rear screen up, provides an almost wind-free cockpit. I think you could put a lit candle on the pedestal panel and it would stay lit, even at 80 MPH. So drive with the top stowed and a big smile on your face, and congratulations on your new SL.
