For Sale 2013 SL550 12,800 Miles, Mars Red

Well, with all this talk of new cars, I’ve decided to order myself a new SL. So, I am putting my beautiful 2013 SL550 up for sale. If super low miles, pristine condition and the Mars Red color are important to you, read on. If not, I’m sure you’ll find a better deal on another car, as I want $59,995.00 for mine. The car has only 12,803 miles and has never been in an accident or painted. It was purchased CPO and is still under warranty until September, when it is eligible for an MB extended warranty. In addition to the options shown on the window sticker, the previous owner had SL63 exhaust resonators installed. These give you a low rumble on start up and are otherwise pretty much unnoticeable, unless you jump on the throttle, which will give you a pleasant ROAR! As I understand it, these resonators cost over $3,000.00 to be installed. A factory rear spoiler was also installed. The car recently had a B service done at MB Laguna Niguel. It has near new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ conventional tires that were put on at 10,998 miles. The wheels, by the way are 18” and not 19” as shown on the sticker. The car has been “debadged,” with no “SL550” on the trunk, but I have a new factory set of numerals that go with the car. The car drives like brand new, with zero issues.
Please PM me if interested. The car is in Newport Beach, CA.

Good luck with the sale! You will have the car with all the options you want apart from the Mars Red. I am as puzzled as you why they would drop the color.
What combo are you thinking of?

Well, I've been so torn about that color. To me, the car looks best in Mars Red, period. I love the car I have, but I REALLY want ABC and I really want a new car. New cars are pretty much my only vice and I'm not getting any younger, so I thought what the heck. Of course, I'm also aware that the new R232 will be coming along in a year or two, but I still want to get a new R231. If the R232 is just too irresistible, I guess I'll have to go for one at that time, but I like the current car and there is still the mystery of whether the R232 will have a retractable hard or soft top. I'm such a fan of the hard top, that if the new car is a soft top, that would probably blow it for me and I don't want to miss getting a car I like, waiting for one that I might not like. I really like the Ginger Beige/Espresso Brown interior in my red car, so I'll probably stick with that and go for a Polar White. I'm going to look into a set of those MB "accessory" 18" wheels (pictured) as well. I like the look of them and they look like they would be very easy to keep clean. Even though I am a big fan of the SL450, I may go for the SL550. I've come to just love the way my red car sounds, so I may put those SL63 resonators on a new 550. Just contacted the dealer yesterday and am waiting to hear what they have to say about price and delivery time. What's a great deal on a new SL these days?

I think white is always a good choice in a warm weather state but couldn't imagine having one where we live. We have been on silver SL's for the last 4 of them, before that different flavors of black and even a red one Silver is just such a classic SL color and it's practical for work...

As noted before, I love your color combination. But, my wife’s E350 and my S are both Iridium, so we thought three silver cars would be a bit much.

Agreed. All silver would be too much and the color combo to chose works very well. I just checked the local dealer and they only have SL's with ABC in stock. How rare...
They have one pretty much like ours just in Magnetite black and it's actually not bad. I really did like the color on our S-Class. I do like the brilliant blue's as well. They look great in the sun...

That one is fully loaded alright........................I'm in the same boat as Steamliner. But it is white for me here in Florida every time......wouldn't pay up for the Bose system though.....

Have the same color combo as you streamliner for the inside..mainly because I cannot stand black dashboards and surrounds and although not a great lover of brown....its more pleasing and works. I have also looked and up to around 130K I cannot find an alternative that looks good, is fast when I need it and damn comfortable to drive. (spoilt brat)

Well, I don’t know what’s going on, but for the last few weeks, my dealer has been trying to pull strings to get me a ne SL550 in a reasonable amount of time, but it looks as though any order placed now, will have an OCTOBER build date. What’s up with that? What happened to 8 weeks? Delivery won’t be until December they are telling me. So, I told them to forget it. Maybe I’ll just wait for the 2020 and see what happens. Oh well.
