Thanks for the reply, that’s very cool. I never heard of the Edition 1 until i bought this one. I wonder if the limited production will hold its value?

Unfortunately NO. Unless there are unique high demand features in a launch edition, the resale price is usually the same. I think the number of cars was 300.
Mercedes often create launch edition that are head scratchers, either including or excluding options. Because they can't be configured new, it's either a hit or miss.

Enjoy! Greatest top-down car one can get

Agree completely. All Edition1's listed at $123,905 with no options. The $17,500 Edition1 Package included just about all options you could order. Mine has 15k miles and is worth hopefully

$45k or $50. I didn't buy it as in investment, however, I bought it to drive and enjoy! With Designo Paint, Designo Red Leather, Designo Black Piano Trim and AMG wheels, I just love the car. For me, the Designo packages are well worth the extra $, UNTIL you sell the car, then you certainly won't get your money back!

Does anyone know how to go about getting the red/black steering wheel that is standard in Europe? Perhaps a German MB dealership? Would a Euro steering wheel even fit the US car specs? I could always go the upholstery shop route, but then you never know if they can match the fabric correctly.
