There is what appears to be a nice, 2017 SL450, loaded, including ABC, with less than 4,000 miles on eBay today. It is blue/saddle in Pompano Beach at a Ford dealer. Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-SL-Cla...QAAOSwhLZcwdBm

There are many late model 231 SL Class Vehicles for sale here in the South Florida Area.

Do a search on AutoTrader for the SL Class using years 2013-2019, both 'used' and 'certified' that are for sale within a 100 mile radius of Zip Code 33076 to see exactly what I mean.

Be sure to include all the models you are interested in: (SL400, SL450 an SL550, SL63). The website is Autotrader.com.

In South Florida there is more selection, which means more competitive pricing!

So...Visit South Florida for an SL that's NEVER SEEN SNOW and SAVE YOURSELF SOME DOUGH!...

Well, I'm sure there are many SL's for sale in FL, as there are in CA. The reason I pointed this one out, is because it is a truly LOADED 450, which you don't see every day. That, the low miles and the color combo make it an interesting car, at least to me. If it was within 300 miles of me, I'd go take a look.

It is nicely spec'd indeed! Late Build Date for a MY 17 (May 17) too so this car has MY18 software/hardware modules already. And it's barely used. Our 2017 has 21k miles on the clock vs 3k miles. Price will flexible as the Ford dealer will want to get rid of it asap and would take too much of a hit on auction.

the ford dealer is not providing the carfax like they are doing with some of their other benzo models for sale; maybe that means there is a story behind this sl.

Curious comment. The majority of cars on Ebay will not have a free carfax. Serious prospects will spend a few bucks to get it. AutoCheck is better though. Or send email to request a copy...

That makes sense. I didn't bother even looking at their site. If anyone is interested I am sure they will run it and send a copy. If not, then I would wonder as well.

That said, I wasn't looking at the car itself but how it's spec/d and miles. Wether it's a worthy buy is always another question

That would be my concern. Living for many years on the west side of Los Angeles, adjacent to Beverly Hills, I have seen brand new, very expensive cars pretty much TRASHED within a few months of being driven off the lot. Sometimes, within a few weeks! Most all of it cosmetic, but who wants a near new car with scratches, scrapes, curbed wheels, cigarette burns, scratched leather, door dings, etc. And, who knows what has been touched up, etc.? This car may be a great deal for someone, but I would need to either see it in person, or have a third party inspect it, before I would feel comfortable buying it.

In light of the fact that the car has exceeded it's A service by 259 days might be an indication of its care by the previous owner.

Yeah, I noticed that. Real classy promo work there at the Ford dealer. Probably didn’t know how to clear the message. Doesn’t appear that they even washed the car either. That said, I was looking at a 2017 SL65 AMG for sale by a Porsche dealer in Livermore, CA, and it must have been raining, as the whole interior of the car was wet. Great way to promote a $130K car!

I wonder if the previous SL owner likes his new Ford Focus?

I saw that one too. As long as you know what to look for, buying from a non-MB dealer can be an opportunity as they overlook options and may price it too low or want to get rid of it fast. Buying used means buyers knowledge and a good PPI is essential.

I am very familiar with the South Florida market and I must tell you that I would be very wary about buying an late model SL from a Ford Dealer. Chances are the Carfax History Report will reveal this car has been in an accident. Furthermore, the ebay listing is another good reason to be very suspicious about the history of this particular car!. i wouldn't get too excited about it just because it happens to have the ABC option. Chances are none of the local Benz Dealers wanted anything to do with it, so as 'a reject' by higher end Dealers, it wound up with a Ford Dealership who is simply using it to attract more traffic.

I should point out that while most SL's for sale are from Authorized MB Dealers, not all of the SL listings are, There are actually quite a few very reputable Dealers in South Florida who specialize in clean, Luxury Sports Imports, because that continues to be a very strong-selling segment of the overall car market here in South Florida. (These are not the local Ford Dealers however!)

This particular area of Florida has long been considered a 'haven' for those who and appreciate and want to buy high-end Imported Luxury and Sports Cars! The most prolific area for these cars is the Southeast Coastal Region which runs from Palm Beach, down to South Beach, (aka Miami Beach), and it includes Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale as well.

That is the dullest looking Brilliant Blue that I have ever seen- is it covered with dust? This is the Brilliant Blue that I am familiar with- and I think that blue is the perfect color for this model SL.
The car is a bit to understated- the rear end really needs a trunk spoiler to "lift" the "droopy" rear end. But this color IMO really pops and gives it a bit more pizazz- as the used to say.

Another thing to consider regarding Service A or B being long overdue is that some cars sit for long periods of time. My new SL had been sitting at the dealership for a long time and when I bought it I got the Service A due with 48 miles on the odometer. The dealership should have reset the reminder before I picked it up but forgot.

There are also some owners who schedule service by their actual mileage rather than time frames. My sports cars usually sit for five or six months during the winter here in the northwest so just because the clock says it's time for a service during those months doesn't mean I immediately take it to the dealer.

Yes, it looks like the car was driven onto the lot by the previous owner and the dealer took the photos right then, without so much as a dusting. Idiots.

I, too, have come to like the Brilliant Blue color and would have ordered it, if it just been a shade lighter. I absolutely LOVE the color on the dearly departed SL65, with the added chrome trim, which really brightens the look, in my opinion. On any of the current SL models, it just doesn’t have enough contrast for me, but of course, colors are all personal taste. If I ever find a mint example of a 2017 or 2018 SL65 for sale, as pictured here, it just may end up in my garage.

Streamliner....Since you like SL 65's, I suggest you take a look at this (2014) SL65 AMG located very near you in Van Nuys, California..

IMO, it has the BEST SL COLOR COMBO EVER! (Palladium Silver Metallic over Ginger Beige (full cabin) Diamond-Quilted Nappa Leather and rare Designo Bamboo Trim). it's 'loaded up' with every known SL AMG option, including the Bang & Olafsen Premium Sound System!

A Stunning SL65 AMG that is Extremely Rare! Perhaps the Best and the 'Ultimate' SL Class Vehicle currently offered for sale!

Note: This is a 1-Owner Corporate Vehicle with Clean Carfax and with just 25K on the clock; and an $83K price tag, it sure looks like a 'winner' to me!

Will there EVER be a used SL65 AMG better than THIS offered for sale? I think NOT! This car is truly a ONE-OF-A-KIND AND A TOP-OF-THE-LINE SL Class!

Click on the link below to see pics and details!

Thanks for that link. That is a very nice car! However, I am just stuck on the looks of that blue car in the 2017 body style. My new 450 is at the dock and may actually be at the dealer today or tomorrow. If I can’t come to terms with them, I just may take a drive out to Van Nuys and check this car out. If I wait to find the blue car, there is a very good chance I will not be driving an SL for years. One way or another, I plan on having another one within a few weeks. If and when I find the blue car, I’ll deal with it then.
Thanks again for the link.
BTW, I believe that is the Designo Sand/Black interior in the silver car, which I think is just beautiful!

Glad to be of help before you close the deal on your on-order SL 450..

Stream...This listing could be an opportunity for you to 'HAVE IT ALL' with 'everything' you could ever want in an 231 SL Class, and for many thousands less than you were planning to spend for a new 2019 Polar White SL 450!

(If this listing had been anywhere near my location, I know I would want to see it up close). !

I do think you're correct about Designo Sand/Black being the interior color, on this SL 65 AMG, despite what the listing says! Pretty clear from the pics!

My own SL 550 just happens to be Palladium Silver Metallic over Beige Nappa as well, and I just LOVE that color combo so much!...If and when you see it 'up close and personal' on the SL65 AMG, I bet you'll fall in love with that color scheme too!

My 2015 S550 was Palladium Silver and I just loved it. WHY they had to change to Selenite is just beyond me.

Well, In that case, I must applaud you for having such excellent taste!...

BTW, The asking price on the Van Nuys SL65 AMG now indicates the asking price has been reduced by $2K, and I suspect the Dealer may be open to lower offers. That sounds like it might be quite a deal when you consider that this car listed for $230K+ when it was new!.

Should you decide to go take a test drive of the SL 65 AMG, please let us know your impressions of it. Obviously very few of us have ever had, (or will ever have), the opportunity.to experience an SL 65 AMG. I would imagine the awesome power and torque of an AMG V12 to be very 'exhilarating' to say the very least! (621 HP with 728 ft lbs of torque at the rear wheels)

Below is another link to the SL65 AMG listing...Checkout the pics!

Streamliner.....Here's a youtube video of a European SL65 AMG in LUNAR BLUE which many people think is a 'classier' shade of blue as compared with the very 'bright' 'Brilliant Blue' color not being offered. (Lunar Blue was dis****inued after the 2016 model run however.

The chrome trim on the lower front air dam of SL 65's is a nice touch..

That blue is a beautiful color, but I tend to prefer lighter colors. I really like this color, but have no name for it, as I believe this is a pre-production model and a color that has not been made available—but it should be!
