New to me SL550!
Hey all, just dropping in to show off my new, to me, SL550. Picked up this '14 SL a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it.
I've been on this forum for a while but not with a lot of activity. I purchased a new CLK500 years ago and put 100k + miles on it. Traded up to a E350 and currently have a replacement E350 to that along side this SL.
I looked a long time for this car. Sold a Corvette last year and was looking for a convertible as a replacement. Always liked the looks of the SL's plus the luxury and performance of the twin turbos.
I'm sure I'll have some questions about the car as I drive it more but for now I'm just having fun!

Exquisite! Very lovely color combo. Congratulations!
OK, WHAT is the “Sweet 66?” Sure sounds like a car to me. Corvette? Chevelle?

The Sweet 66 was my '66 Corvette that I sold. It was a fairly nice car but not something I drove a lot. I keep records of all the work I do on the cars and I finally realized that I averaged 100 miles per year on that car. It was time for a change and I'm not missing it one bit.
Thanks for all the positive replies!

Thanks again guys.
I was worried that the porcelain interior was going to be too white/bright but it just pops with the burl walnut trim. Just wish this darn rainy weather would stop so I could take her out for another spin!

Just be happy you don't live in FLORIDA this month. It's the worst Love Bug season here in years. Both of our cars have been in the garage as much as possible for the past 6 weeks. At this point, I'd take your rain over this bug infestation.
