2014 SL550
My first MERC
Hello everyone. First post so here goes.
My wife saw the GLC-300 on display at a mall and so we looked at one an she liked it so we got it. Now this got me thinking about selling the C6 Z06 and getting into something a little easier on the old bones. Found a nice 2014 Iridium Silver SL550 with 28K on the clock so now we are officially a Merc family. Love the way this thing gets around, very nice place to be.
Look forward to getting to know all of the little nuances and reading about these cars here on the forum.

Coming from a basic Stingray would have been a less dramatic switch. From a Z06, I'm sure the difference is astonishing, in the comfort & luxury areas. Enjoy!

Isnt it awesome! Welcome to the club and the SL is a car like no other from any manufacturer...
I love that it is not a "race car" look like Porsche Jag etc...

Thanks Streamliner. It was a VERY big difference! Of course the two cars are completely different designs but the Z is quit fun as a weekend drive, not so much as a daily driver.

Thanks WN1X. BTW, is that your amateur radio call sign? If so I am N5MP. I had a list of things I wanted the dealership to fix and at the end of the list was item 4 where I said something like "There is a big grin on my face that seems to last for hours after I drive the car, I don't want that fixed". He gave me a thumbs up reply.

Fine business on the big grin. The wife and I are loving our new to us 2013 SL550. I've got a few issues for the dealer to sort out (update nav maps, which are original from 2013! and put real floor mats in...not the winter ones that are too slippery. Once those are fixed, the car will be perfect!
