Seat Entrance Comfort Mode SL450

We have a 2017 SL450. My daily vehicle is a Ford Expedition. It has a mode for the front seat you can activate so that when you open the front door, the front seat retracts all the way to the rear position and the steering wheel raises and that makes it easier to get in the car. When you start the car, it goes to it's normal position. It is just for an easy in and out of the vehicle.

Does the SL have this option? I looked and cannot find it anywhere, but I might have missed it in the manual. One problem might be that I don't know the "official MB name" for the setting and therefore can't find exactly how to look it up. It would be really handy for when my wife was the last driver...LOL.

I can't believe a Ford Expedition has this and the SL doesn't....but when I compare the sound systems, I probably should believe it. My Expedition has a great sound system and the SL is not so great.

Nope,
But you can set one of the memory buttons for exit, by storing a memory seating set with the seat all the way back and the steering wheel all the way up.... My Vette had that option, which I loved, but this car doesn't...... Go figure....

I think one of my Corvettes had it as well.... I kept thinking this car had it but I didn't know the technical name on the manual index glossary and just could not find how to engage it.

The problem I have with the seat memory button function is that it is not a one touch system. I have my regular seat settings in button 1 and the move back to get out of the SL on button 2 . You have to hold down button 2 the whole time the seat is moving until it gets to its final travel...

Germans tend to be "slimmer" than Americans thus no reason for this feature.

I agree. I had thought about all the way back for position 3. But I don't understand why they did not make it one touch.

This is my first SL and for what this car costs new, they could have done a better job on some things. I am not crazy about the display screen for navigation and such and sure don't see why they could not put a decent sound system in it.
