Has anyone encountered Sudden Unintended Acceleration in an SL550?
Just parking the 2013 SL550 while the car was traveling at a few miles an hour, took foot off the accelerator, pressed the brake, and the car kept moving/accelerating against the brake pressure straight into a post with damage. (Though no airbag deployment) No, this was not a case of accidentally pressing the accelerator rather than the brake, the car literally would not stop and the accelerator seemed jammed. Hoping the cause is traceable in the ECU or other mechanical inspection.

Either your floor mat was jammed or you accidentally hit the gas along with the brake pedal. There is no connection between the brake and throttle to get crossed up.
I am a Mercedes Mechanic and shop owner. I don’t think this could be a mechanical or electrical issue. There are so many fail safes. When there is an issue where the accelerator is involved the system takes the pedal and throttle valve immediately out of the picture. I agree with the previous post, you may have been on both pedals at the same time. Then the harder you push on the brake pedal the harder the gas pedal is pushed. Accelerator always wins.
