2013 SL550 AMG Convertible; 2020 GLS450
Varta Battery Manufacturing Date

Hi everyone,

Can someone help me figure out the manufacturing date for my Varta battery? I did a search and some people say to look at the numbers on the negative terminal, others mention to look at the numbers on the upper right side corner and others say to decode the numbers above the serial number. If I fallow these directions I get different dates.

Any thoughts?

Current: C217 V12TT AMG Previously: C55 AMG, SL65 AMG
My guess would be the pin stamped 0617 in the top right hand corner. This could be either week 6 of 2017 (mid-Feb) or month 6 of 2017 (June 2017).

It is on the top of the plus connector, just remove the red cover and you will see it, at least it is like that on mine.

It's stamped on the negative post. Looks like 19/15. Nineteenth week of 2015. Mine is 27/19.
