Yeah that's weird...my order was in the system with Exculsive interior since October...the suspension was announced early March...my order was changed to default black standard interior around that time, and was built on 4/25. It was annoying at the time, and is even more so now knowing others were able to get it. Does your buyer have a YouTube channel as well?

I've had three SL63s over the years. The screen in this car sticks out more than a large pimple in the middle of your forehead. Who wants to continually glance over and hunt and peck on a greasy fingerprinted screen? This car is now forever ruined to me - just my opinion.

I am very keen to hear from all the new R232 Owners their experience with wind noise / turbulence without the "screen" compared to their current SL. Thanks in advance. Steve

I like all the pictures....
But I REALLY want to see what the chassis/driveltrain looks like underneath.
Haha, and how many parts it shares with the C190
(EPC would be interesting too)

Thanks for sharing the pics. The first SL's that are delivered with proper ride-height I wouldn't feel the need to immediately lower the cars like we did on prior SL's. Nice to see a non-black specimen but I still can't get over the pedestrian looking seats for that price point. Another issue is AMG's insistence of using crappy rubber airbags covers instead of leather...
Now that we are seeing these cars coming into dealerships I am hoping for an actual test drive.

My local dealer had a yellow one in today. I wanted to get down to look at it as the one I had built is still on a part delay in Germany. I left my phone in my vehicle but I had my friend send me the pictures he took. This thing is gorgeous in person. The sales guy also fired it up and it sounded so good. He went from Comfort to Sport in idle and the difference was audibly noticeable. Can confirm too that the trunk is super small. I can't wait to get mine now!

That's a beautiful automobile, despite (not because of) being yaller. The extended night package and black wheels look great; I'd go that route with any light-colored SL, and have done so with my Alpine Grey SL63, which I expect to arrive before the end of this decade.

Looks great in the white pics (and others), but the near perfect rendition (lighting dependent) of taxicab yellow not so much imho...

Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte finally got its first 2022 SL63:
Same Alpine Grey, black top, black wheels, extended night package as the one I have on order; but mine will have red leather and ceramic brakes. This car was not custom ordered. It's for sale at ~$225K, including a $25K markup. Odd that they send spec cars before those which were custom ordered.
I was the 7th to order from this dealership, meaning that my build has not even begun. The good news is that I will get it at MSRP, and that it will be a 2023 model, says the dealer. Of course, MSRP for the 2023s will likely be higher than the 2022s.
I didn't sit in the car, but looked inside. Beautiful car, but I would recommend an interior other than black; it's a bit on the somber side, especially with the roof closed. The tiny back seats might have some marginal utility for kids and/or luggage, and in a pinch could carry one adult for short hauls if the front passenger is willing to sacrifice some leg room, and if the weather allows top-down driving. An adult in back with the roof closed would be torture.
Still looking forward to delivery. God grant me patience, and I want it right now!

Really looks great in Alpine Gray with the night package. You will be much better off with a '23 and better specs. Performance seats? In regards to MSRP, MB has already reached the high side of pricing so I would be very surprised if there would be an increase.
