@BLAM Did you find out if your car was on the Hawaiian Highway? It arrived in Brunswick GA yesterday and the vehicles are being offloaded. Still no monroney label with the MSRP.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that MB will finalize the 2023 pricing so that the window sticker can be issued and the car released to the dealership.

Why so long on the order time? I ordered mine at the end of November (I also ordered a Porsche Cayenne the week before). The SL is at the VPC in Georgia. The Cayenne was delivered to my Connecticut dealer 10 days ago. From order to build and shipment both seemed reasonable. Fyi, I had a 2020 Porsche Taycan that sat at the port for 6 weeks waiting for the EPA clearance. For the SL I checked the EPA site, and the 2023 SLs were cleared. It is really MB that is dragging their feet on releasing the 2023 MSRPs for the SL.

@Omega803 It sounds like your dealer was playing games with its allocations to prioritize customers willing to order cars with a markup. It was the same with the local Porsche dealer in Georgia (premium with a long lead time), so I ordered my Porsche from the dealer I used for many years when I lived in Connecticut. Everything was done by email, no deposit required, no markup and I got an allocation for a January 2023 build slot. Fortunately, my local MB dealer finally blinked (they originally wanted a markup) and I got a Feb 2023 build for my SL with no mark up.

My car has been waiting for the MSRP to be finalized by MB for the monroney label before it will be released to the dealer. I live near Atlanta. The car is in the same state at the MB Vehicle Preparation Center in Brunswick, GA. When I got my Porsche Taycan 3 years ago, it sat in the Rhode Island VPC for 6 weeks waiting for the EPA certification for the monroney label. It was frustrating, but there is nothing I can do to move it forward. My sales associate is out until tomorrow. I will ping her for an update when she gets back.

MB missteps are baffling.

Mercedes pulled that option due to supple constraints. When the ordering book was opened (along with the first DOG) you could order any of the exclusive leathers. Mercedes dealers then got notifications that the option was no longer available and changes had to be made. There were a bunch of orders that made it thru without being cancelled. With my dealer there were 5 original orders and 1 out of the 5 got the exclusive leather and the rest of use got calls that we had to select another option. If you saw one it was probably a very early build and one that sat at the port for about 5 months last year.

I had my sales associate check with the VPC to confirm that there was nothing further affecting my car’s release (no repair work, no software updates, no stop sale, etc). The EPA cert is done. It is really MB that is holding back on 2023 MSRP for the window sticker to release the car. I believe that there is no price increase for 2023. With the 2022s on dealer lots, my suspicion is that MB is holding back the 2023 SLs a bit longer for dealers to move the 2022s with the recent Conquest program and the special finance rates and lease rates for the 2022 SLs.
When I got one of the first Porsche Taycans in the US several years ago, my car was held for 6 weeks in Rhode Island for the EPA cert for the Monroney label. No label, no release.
