hello from sunny (and dry) palm springs, ca. i'm oriole and i have a '73 450SL in maple yellow. she has little over 72,000 miles and rarely has the top up. i have one small issue, the blinkers, blink too quickly and i understand that the flasher is no longer available. any ideas?? i know that it's a small problem , but it drives me crazy.

Part number 002 544 23 32. There are a few out there but expensive. https://www.autopartsway.com/partdet...a_bid=6773b32f
First check all of your bulbs on that circuit to make sure they are working. You may have to remove and clean contacts or replace.

If you don't know where it is located it is to the left of the steering column behind the instrument cluster. Some have said they have reached it by removing the lower panel. I am not that limber. I remove the steering wheel and the cluster. Pretty easy IMO. Just don't start the engine with the cluster removed you will get an oil bath.
