I have a 1989 560sl that I am putting a 2008 CLS 63 Motor/transmission/
electrical system in. I will need a lot of advice. I am now trying to get my new key teached in.
Teach in progress for 3 days. Mercedes does not know how long it will take. Any ideas on how to proceed from here. I need to get system up before removing it with engine.

You need a shop that is well-versed in BOTH the R107 and the newer motor & electronics. A rare place. If I knew where you were located [profile hint] I might be able to make a suggestion. Good luck The electronics integration is why most R107 motor swaps end up with a GM V8.
