560SL wheels going on 380SL problem

Hello, I recently purchased a set of MB wheels (ET 49 offset) and I am putting them on my 1984 380SL. The front hubs metal dust caps are sticking out of the wheel center caps so I had to remove the center caps the wheels to fit them. Has anyone encountered this problem? I have seen several 380SL with MB wheels so I am wondering how everyone is fitting these. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The ET is too big. Depending on the width. 8" should be ET11. 7" should be ET 23-25. 6.5 should be 30. Those are the 107 specs.

I bought a 25mm spacer. It’s seems like it holds. Thanks for the info.
