Mystery hose

Attached to the condenser and drier
I have had a radiator sitting in a box for the last eight or nine years and decided it was time to finally put it on since the car has been running a bit hot and my mechanic told me that it would be a good idea to put a new radiator on. Well the job turned out to be more than what I bargained for as I ended up busting the condenser so I’ve got a new one on the way but as I was taking the old one out I struggled with this one part which I’m attaching a photo of. It attached to the dryer and I cannot seem to loosen the one bolt that you will see in the picture. I have soaked it in Blaster but no luck. I’d like to just purchase another but I can’t seem to find it anywhere and I am at a loss as to what it is called. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. GD

Is that part of the dryer that broke. Try heating the nut.

What year 380SL? The EPC diagram doesn't help and I can't find a picture of the piece I think it is.

Mystery hose

Well I broke down and I took it to my mechanic. He put it in the vise and without any effort whatsoever he was able to get the parts separated. I couldn’t believe it. Zero effort at all. (I’m sure I loosened it up) I felt like a schmuck. At least I am a happy schmuck with a usable part. Now Just waiting for new radiator and condenser and fan shroud to arrive so I can put it all back together. Sure hope I can remember which screws go where, at least I have them separated by what part they go to.
