Original Zündschloss

Hallo,

Translation: Hello,

I have the US version 560 SL 1987.
The ignition lock broke inside a long time ago and a replacement lock was installed. So I have 2 different keys to the car instead of just one set.

Now I asked the MB dealer about the original lock. After the acceptance came the rejection. You couldn't offer me an original lock.
The problem is that the replacement just doesn't fit in the car. It is crooked in the compartment, so it is also an open hole. The cover ring does not fit around the ignition lock and is now open, which looks terrible.

Do you have a solution for me? Is there possibly a shop that can create an ignition lock that can also create a perfect fit in the car?
Something in Europe would certainly be good for it to arrive :-)

as I read it,...the replacement lock fits fine but when you tried to get a new ignition lock to match the doors and trunk, that replacement was not correct or at least didn't fit right.
A decent locksmith should be able to re-key your doors and trunk locks to match your original replacement ignition lock,
