I'll chime in but have all Kleemann. I do not regret getting headers since that takes the car to the next level from just ECU/Pulley. Have had several friends go Renntech ECU/Pulley and then upgrade to headers. Response was WOW...Day and Night.

Went with Kleemann headers since I wanted my primary cats removed. Car flies and performs like a stock 65.

Renntech does some great tuning. I was in last week for them to do the ECU/TCU tuning for the SL65. I spoke with Bob B. at that time about changing the exhaust, and he told me that they have tried changing them on the 65, but the result is a loss of horsepower. He said they're still experimenting with it. I hope they can solve that problem. The 65 is too quiet in my opinion. I'm sure it's quite different for the 55.

Talking

Think i'm going to do ecu, pully and headers, will get a dyno before and after to see what base hp is and then after mods, i had the ecu and pully on my e55 and it run really nice. the sl is a few hundred pounds heaver so the headers should equel out the hp vs weight.i went the 20" wheels that are very light and 305 tires in the back. little bit of weight was added for the sound system(Reus system). car was tinted last weekand i think after i find someway to lower it a little bit it will be done. And the nicest part: i won a law suit against my ex:wife for a phony lawsuit. so all the money i won is going to the car!!

Here's a thread with some good comparison pics of Kleemann and oem headers from the E forum if you haven't seen it https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/121764-kleemann-transformation-starts-today.html
