Cars are both looking good. How do they handle the poor la roads now, is the suspension okay still?

allenjdmb 01-10-2009 08:12 PM

Nice--height is good without...

being stupid. BTW, what kind of wheels are those?

aleksandar1099 01-10-2009 09:29 PM

Lookin Good!! What did you use to lower them, lowering links?

a_Y 01-11-2009 03:29 AM

www.adjustableairride.com

they actually seem better quality than the stock links. you can try to self-install, but to me it wasn't worth it. took it to a local mod shop (http://flawlessmotorsport.com/)

URnext 01-11-2009 04:07 AM

Looking really good & perfect height. Now you have to update sig.

MikeRPA 01-11-2009 05:23 AM

I love it wow super sexy sl omg , also love the GTS but the color is soft for that kind of truck I think.

Fantasm 01-11-2009 06:26 AM

its a bad picture, it looks hot in person. only bad thing about the color is im having a hard type figuring out what color wheels it needs.

g.smiley 01-11-2009 10:41 AM

looks tremedous. very nice. is the gts silver ? Go with gunmetal.

BenzBoy12 01-11-2009 02:44 PM

Two sick cars, looks great. I bet the GTS is almost as fun to drive as the SL, lol. Wheels look good too. Those links are really a great idea, I think really its better than all the expense of say the renntech module. Could anyone point out the main advantages to getting this instead of the links? I can't think of any, except that you can set the height in the car.

i have already ordered a set of these links for the car!

Thanks for the help! you saved me from buying lowering modules that cost a few times as much as these.

benz_addict 01-11-2009 03:06 PM

BobsC63 01-11-2009 03:29 PM

me either. i almost bought the electronic modules but the price difference outweighed the 1 benefit.
i got both link kits and install on both cars for more than 50% less than just ONE electronic module purchase cost (not even including install $).

I find that to be unbelievable...

how can they justify the price of these things? Do they think we are all dumb?

I can't imagine that the circuit board and plastic box that it's in is too costly, and as to the software, ecu tunes are so over inflated its absurd..

They are just juicing us for the extra cash - as if more work goes in to tuning an sl63 over a c63, yet an increase in price is still justified..

Just the way I see it...if i were them, i would lower price and exponentially increase sales - so many of us would do that stuff if it was actually reasonable to do, but it isn't.

Beautiful car by the way!

OUTCAST 01-11-2009 06:03 PM

Wow that looks killer and thanks for the info too!

Thericker 01-11-2009 09:44 PM

Sweet! Drop is perfect on the SL63....

wazv6 01-11-2009 10:47 PM

good job, both look great and are lowered perfectly

Oh yeah its def. just markup, that module is a simple computer, nothing to it. And yeah, ecu tunes, that's pure labor, that's like a 1000% profit right there, it's really too bad.

bryanc4 02-08-2009 10:02 PM

how long did it take the shop to install the links and how much did they charge?

is the alignment perfectly straight?
would you do anything differently??
