Finally Lowered my SL55
Nice looks alot better, what method? and please post any more pics you have..
Lower is better. Looks good! :y
Looks nice man. I would lower the front another 1/2" though.
Looks nice! If I touched the front....
it would only be another 10mm though. Make sure you get it realigned and that you have a camber kit in as well. Which method?
Your car looks great, but yesterday I was following a SL500 on the motorway at about 90mph. It looked real low. Do you realise the car lowers itself up to 30mm above 60 mph. Do get any scrapping noises at speed?:nix:
If done with the SDS...
(or a quality module) it knows this and keeps the height proper.
The picture was taken with my air suspension at the lowest point, when I’m on the highway (motorway) I place the air suspension on medium. No rubbing at all…….
Are you sure its 30 mm? the 2007 SL manual puts the number at 12 mm (0.5")

send Vadim at VRP and PM, he hooked it up for me.

Nice wheels:y BTW, good choice on choosing Vadim for mods/srvcs. Are those Monarch wheels?
Yes those are the new Monarch Wheels, Roy took good care of me.

245/35/20 in front
285/30/20 in rear when first installed I had 275/30/20 in the rear but i didnt like the look, gave it that streched tire look, the 285/30/20 makes it look fuller. |

No Spacers, I think 295/30/20 would rub.....
keep lowering the car more .... i can still see those ugly wheels .:rolf:
The lowering module I have is set to slam it every time I come to a complete stop and then raise it a little when in motion. It’s a cool lowering effect to have and people always notice it. :D

I currently have 285/30/20 in the rear with no issues. bryanc4 what car do you own and are they 295/30 or 295/25 ?
I used 295/25 last time...
without incident (PS2). And although myu car was lowered, I didn't think the rear was quite low enough. No interference whatsoever.
Michelin PS2 295/25/20 are 25.8" tall (which is the stock tire height) and 11.9" wide which works fine with no rubbing issues when lowered, but I find them to be too low profile. Goodyear F1 Asymmertic 295/30/20 are 27" tall and 11.9" wide which I think would be the perfect size, but it might rub when lowered. Has anyone tried 295/30/20 size?
