SL55 AMG 2003 V-Max
Heavy acceleration – delay in deacceleration

I have a SL55 V-max, MY 03. When I do a sudden full throttle acceleration, I’ve noticed that there is a delay in deacceleration when I go off the throttle, in tight traffic it becomes a bit scary, it can be a delay of 2-3 tenths of a second, it feels as a very long time. Has anyone any solution to what this can be or is it normal?

That's why you have huge brakes...to slow you down quick!!! decel will always be slower with a heavier car once momentum is pre-established.

What is V-max???

v-max is another name of delimiter of the top speed.

Not like mine that are limited to 325 km/h.

Since You havea 55 and I a 600 I have no idea if its the same "problem".
But I experience the same. In my case i guess its the turbos that keep the boost when I get off WOT. Not sure komressors works in the same way?
Not really a problem, just press harder om those Brembos.

But I agree it can be a bit scary when You get close to that Toyota Corolla..

A surge in power after lifting off the throttle is not normal.
