FYI, Chrysler is now taking 7-10 business days to pay dealerships and 3-6 months to re-imburse individuals. My dealership works with me and allows me to pay them and refund me when Chrysler pays them.

CPO or Crysler

So i have read about inclusion and exclusion type warrantys. Is the crysler warranty the exclusion type? I have not purchased a car yet and was considering a CPO e55 05 or 06 with around 20-30k miles. I have not found much info on the CPO warranty. Would I be better off with a non CPO and the Crysler warr??

Thanks

I just bought a 5yr (from today) / 100k mile Maximum Care for my 06 SL65. I can figure out the full disclosure once I receive the documentation. If I don't like it, I can cancel for a full refund within 60 days of purchase.

My car is CPO until March 2010, any idea if this affects anything, I just want to qualify and have something after it expires!

Your best bet is to call Michael . I know hes a bit had to reach, but the coverage to me is the best I have seen for the money. Fidelity and Easy care didnt cover the expensive items on these cars. I just had a top motor replaced and it was easy for my mechanic.

I can sell warranties I believe, if you pm me your year miles and roughly how long in years or miles you would like to go, I'm hoping there is an e-brochure of what it covers, but I haven't found it yet.

I have the following plan:

and I just had $3400 in repairs done... my dealer said these guys were good to work with and they got paid right away.

Did you buy a Chrysler Service Contracts warranty? I thought their 5 year Used Maximum care plan was for 70K miles, not 100K.

Exclamation Newbie

i have purchased the service plan last 11/27, im taking my car for the first time to the dealership for a check up after purchasing the service plan, i was wondering how does it really work??? lets say they find more than 1 problem that needs to be repaired on the car if my deductible is $200 do i have to pay $200 for every problem that needs fixing???? or is it a one time deductible???

Nope, you just pay your deductible once.... assuming you get everything fixed all at once.

Your MBZ service rep should handle everything for you... they will do all the paperwork and conversations with the warranty company. All you should have to do is pay the $200. If there for any length of time, the dealer should give you a free loaner car until your car is ready for pickup.

Let us know how it goes!

There is no time limit that I am aware of... once under contract, you are under contract.

I'm curious why you are taking your car in so soon for a checkup? Didn't you just have things checked by the dealer to complete the pre-enrollment checklist as provided by the warranty company?

I was asking my service advisor about the Chrysler warranty and they said that lately they take days sometimes up to a week to pay for repairs. And also that sometimes they don't want to use OEM parts for repair..they try to send cheaper aftermarket parts. Has anyone heard of this?

My service rep said just the opposite... he said they were very pleasant to deal with, and that they didn't require any inspector to visit to approve repairs (as do many other extended warranty compaines). He was also surprised that so many things were covered (such as the gas struts that hold up the trunk lid)... many others consider that a normal wear item.

Overall, my experience with this plan has been a solid two thumbs up.

Edit: Also, in my visit all OEM parts were used (fixed headlight washer assemblies, valve cover gaskets, front suspension busings, etc)

Looking for CLS55 AMG
talking to dealers is kind of pointless about the plan before you buy it. They want you to buy the MBZ extended warranty which is much more expensive

Chrysler Service Contracts

I have nothing but praises for this contract . Worth every penny plus more.
I dont know if Michael Chase is still the rep , he was a bit hard to reach but pleasant and knowledgeable about this service.
Dont go with fidelity or easycare they will not cover what this does.
I saw the link posted somewhere on this thread.
Good Luck.

well, just yesterday i started smelling burning oil when i started my car when i looked under the hood it looks like the valve cover gasket is leaking oil and its dripping down the muffler causing it to burn the oil and make it smell.
