The deal's been made. New V12TT owner
After many weeks of searching and internal fights about whether or not I should go with an SL55 or SL600, I finally pulled the trigger on this beauty. 2005 SL600/AMG package with 12K miles and a warranty until 10/2013 or 82K total miles. Previous owner was an older fellah who's put a grand total of 2500 miles on it since he paid 90K for it in 2007. I'm trying to fly out to Chicago to pick it up this weekend. Here she is:
And here's a video that the dealer made just 2500 miles ago. I can't wait to get my hands on this car.
The dealer has a bunch of the stats wrong, but whatever.

Congrats, btw the guy in the video is Chris Moran of Chicago Cars Direct and in all of his videos under that dealership, all of his stats are dead on, perhaps he got bad info somewhere for this one, seems to be an old dealership he worked for or what not.
Once again, great looking SL.

We just had a client pick up his SL600 after we tuned it and lowered it.
The tuning really gives it quite the kick, but the lowering has really addressed my biggest complaint about the non AMG cars. It firms things up nicely and really makes the handling much more crisp.
Good luck with the 600!

Thanks guys. Tough to find anyone on the East Coast happier than me today. Well, maybe Michael Vick, but that's about it.
No mods planned as of this moment. That was a heavy check I had to stroke for this puppy and was more than I wanted to spend. But I couldn't pass up this unbelievable example. There are some complete junkers out there, believe it or not. The miles, or lack of miles, plus the warranty are what sold me on this dune buggy.
Big shout out to Sunir for keeping my head straight on my search. And a double mega shout out to John Hef. He's got to be completely sick of me texting him everyday with VINs. Thanks bud, I owe you.
I've booked my flight to Chicago for Saturday and I'm looking forward to the 11 hour drive home.

It's a new fast car. Why not make it a 10.5 hour drive home?

Hey Clayton, super congrats on the new car. Its funny, because last we spoke you were contemplating jumping due to the R-Class depreciation!!
Looks like you have recovered!
The car looks great. I have to get D2's wheel bid in FIRST so here goes:
We have a set of VS4's for SL or CLS fitment IN-STOCK, and we just need to assemble / seal them! PM me for a great deal on them! (Customer ordered and then changed styles when they arrived. )
Here's an idea of what they look like on a SL

Unless they're like $500.00, wheels will have to wait.
Derrick, you know you're my guy. When the time comes, you'll be the one lightening my wallet. Those do look great though.
Plus, I think my VIPs might just bolt up on this car. Seeing how nobody wants to buy them, I may have to re-provision them for this car.

The wheels from E will be really sunken in on an SL since the fitments are different. Probably best to unload them and start over.
Best of luck with the new chariot!

2008 Mercedes Benz E550 AMG Sport Package
What a sleeper. You really made a great purchase. I was just looking at the performance numbers and all I can say is WOW!
Car and Driver lists 0-60mph at 3.6 seconds!!!
Quarter mile 11.9 seconds at 120mph!!!
Who needs any modifications? That is supercar performance by anyone's standards!!!
I am jealous. Congratulations!! The SL600 was definately the way to go and with the warranty and low miles, it was a no brainer.
Have fun and be safe!
