LOOKING AT SL55, I HAVE A QUESTION
Ive been on here for a few years, dont post much, used to have a clk, anyway, i am really close to trading in my corvette for a 04 sl55. dealer said it had keyless go, but when we tried it it didnt work, i though the sl with keyless go had a little card thingy, and he said the transmitter is in the key. is this true?
anything i need to look at on a 04 sl55 with 40k on it?

If the shifter says Push to Start. Its keyless.
Put your foot on the brake and push the button with the key in your lap.
If it doent start. It will say something on the display. Sometimes these cars came with 2 keys. One was keyless. One was not.
Tell us what the display says. Might be low battery in key too.

Put the key in your pocket, open the car, get in, put your foot on the brake and push the shifter-button. If it does not start, you don't have the keyless-go.

press the button on the card.if the light dont' light up..means the battery is dead..
i rarely use keyless on my s55.. sometime i press the button on the handle it dont' lock first try..and i don't want to wait 2 sec for the door to unlock to get in the car. damn mercedes door unlock slow...it get annoying overtime...
i jjust use the key..
