Yeah, that's a sweet looking ride. Your wheel is the same exact steering wheel (perforated leather with flat bottom) that I ordered with all the interior trim & rear spoiler.

Mercedes SL R230 has 3 generations of side mirrors.

When you order this carbon mirror covers, you have to specify the year
check the picture, the mirrors from left to the right is the squence order from Gen1 to Gen3. Thank you for asking.

OOOOOOOHHHHHH MY GOD........That is red steering wheel is SICK!!!!! If I had a Mars Red SL or red interior, that is definitely the wheel I would get, but of course with the flat bottom. Based on what I've seen in the marketplace, DCTMotorsport is by far the best at catering to the latest trends & each customer's unique taste. Great job Ivan!!!!

Your steering wheels looks great. I was wondering if you tend to have any available to try out in terms of feel. I just picked up a 2005 SL55 and I am not impressed with the wheel. I am local to the Bay Area and would be interested in stopping by sometime if there is one I could try out for feel.
I like the flat bottom, all leather wrap with the shift buttons (part #ST01R2300J006)

I have an '08 SL65 that already has most of the interior done in CF from the factory(door panels, console). Only thing missing (that I am aware of) in the interior is the steering wheel. Exterior I am considering the mirrors. How difficult is the retrofit? Can the average somewhat mechanically inclined person handle it. Are detailed instructions included. Cost? Thanks

after that, a well experienced technician can complete the job
Complete upgrade parts only around $3000

What other steering wheels are comparable with the early (2003-2005) R230?
If I found a cheap "core" wheel from a C219 CLS, W211 E class, or W209 CLK class, would it fit my R230?
